Saba Window Display
From the inspired working processes of Dave Smith and David Gill comes a technique of slicing into photographs and raising areas bringing a delicate tactility to the image-making process. Below is the process of developing further the cut paper aesthetic to compliment the striking photographs of Scott Schuman.
The process of developing subtle embellishments using cut paper techniques came about from some experiments with fashion photography.

With the strong forms of Scott Schuman's photography, we steered toward using radiating linework coupled with lifted sections of hair, a hand or perhaps a collar accentuating shadows and form.

Here we've experimented with curling and lifting sections for variying effects of tactility, warmth and intimacy.

The finished work was displayed on an easel in the storefront.
